As part of Twitter’s recent Analyst Day, the world got a sneak-peak of upcoming changes to the design of profile pages for verified businesses on the platform. This exciting potential new change was highlighted by Social Media Today.
Below, you can see an example shared by @MattNavarra:

The new profiles will be an expanded design of the current offering, with the addition of several new features:
Verification badge
Business category
Business badge
Business information (web URL, address, hours, Directions, phone number)
The company’s design is still in process, and there may be additional options such as product showcase panels, image galleries, and reviews.
In a lot of ways, it’s surprising this is only happening now. Most social platforms now offer business listing-style business profiles with information like address, hours, and phone number. So, most of this brings Twitter more in line with the rest of the social media landscape.
A notable difference is the way Twitter will handle profile badges. This will include labels that should help user experience across the platform, such as labeling bot profiles (“Automated Account”).
Once available, businesses should act quickly to take advantage of these new offerings. Stay tuned!
