A new “My Company” tab is coming to LinkedIn, promising to help your business build community within your organization.
This new tab brings elements of the Elevate platform directly into LinkedIn pages, for free. These new features include:
Company updates for coworkers
Company-curated content for employees to share
Employee verification features (for Pages with more than 10 employees)
Employee advocacy measurement tools
Celebrate new hires and milestones
Interact with trending posts from coworkers
This update is also rolling out along with a new Lead Gen Forms feature for Product Pages feature, which allows companies to showcase the products they sell.
In short, these updates lower the bar to begin a robust employee engagement strategy. The effort investment has now gone down, and the returns could be quite high:
Employee advocacy is a major avenue for improving reach and engagement on social media, especially on LinkedIn—a platform where employees are increasingly willing to engage with their employers’ brands. LinkedIn data shows that employees are 60% more likely to engage with posts from coworkers vs. non-coworkers, and 14x more likely to share their organization's Page content vs. other brands’ content.
LinkedIn also says that engaged employees influence:
8x more Company Pageviews
4x more Company Page followers
7x more job views
4x more job applications
These new features offer exciting new tactics for improving marketing efforts on the channel.
