There’s a new way to tap into short-form video on Instagram with Reel Replies.
You can now reply to comments with Reels and the comment will pop up as a sticker.
As you can see in the video below, when you reply to a comment on any post, you’ll now have the option to turn that comment into sticker that you can send to the commentor. Just tap on the blue Reels button to create a video reply. Pretty cool!

Social Media Today put it best:
“It’s another way to help Instagram boost engagement, while also leaning into the short-form video trend. It’s also, unsurprisingly, almost identical to the same feature that TikTok added in June last year.”
The article also points out that Reels is now “the primary driver of engagement growth” on the platform according to Meta’s most recent earnings report. So this enhancement of Reels engagement could be a great way to empower brands and creators to hone in on this feature as a way to build their communities and audiences.
