Pinterest + WooCommerce Will Boost Ability to Pin (& Sell) Products

A new partnership between Pinterest and eCommerce platform WooCommerce promises to make selling products on Pinterest seamless and lightning quick.

Selling products has been a major focus for Pinterest in recent months. In addition to last year’s partnership with Shopify, the new partnership with WooCommerce—a tool used by 3.6 million merchants, primarily as a WordPress plugin—is perhaps the biggest move yet.

The key to the partnership is a new Pinterest extension for anyone using WooCommerce that offers a few key features:

  • Turn your entire catalog into shoppable Product Pins

  • Easy to install

  • Monitor interactions to track best-selling and most-saved items

  • Automatically update details like pricing and product availability

  • Beta access to the newest Pinterest API for building custom Shoppable Pins—that can be viewed outside the app

  • Easily add the Save to Pinterest button, letting shoppers pin products from your website
