We’re growing at Dooley! Would you - or someone you know - be a good fit? Apply today!
Dooley, a Cincinnati-based social media agency, is hiring for a part-time Community Manager. We’re looking for an independent, “natural born connector” who enjoys actively engaging on social media and has experience with social media content creation.
Community management is a lot more than just…managing a community. In social media marketing, a community manager is someone who advocates for a brand online and forms meaningful relationships through ongoing engagement and a consistent tone of voice.
Initially, this role will be part-time (up to 15 hours/week), but could grow into a full-time position.
Managing our clients’ inbound communication: responding to incoming posts, comments, messages, and reviews
Growing our clients’ online presence through outbound communication: going off ‘turf’ and joining related conversations and communities, building a following, engaging micro-influencers, and encouraging user-generated content (UGC)
Live-posting during events: managing our clients’ social media during large events such as conferences and speaking engagements
Keeping your “nose to the ground”, monitoring all online activity, and mentions
Identifying opportunities to capitalize on positive PR, and reacting quickly and appropriately when negativity arises or during moments of crisis
Demonstrated interest and ability to analyze data and present insights
Ability to organize, prioritize and complete activities on time
Excellent project management and communications skills
High level of attention to detail with the ability to catch errors
Demonstrated ability to take initiative and adapt to changing priorities
Goal-oriented and able to work independently in remote environments
Skilled in verbal and written communication, problem-solving and workload management
Willingness to learn new skills and perfect work; will seek help when needed while suggesting new ways to tackle past business processes
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Applications (especially Excel)
Some experience with Facebook Ads or other social media paid platforms - preferred, but not required
3-5 years of experience in social media management
Solid understanding of each platform’s best practices for engagement and follower growth
Excellent writing and grammatical skills
Ability to work quickly and independently
Experience working directly with complex client requirements and demanding deadlines
Positive attitude with the know-how for directing conversations to appropriate parties
Motivated to spread positive word of mouth for each client in any way possible
Ability to work across industries - B to B and B to C
Availability to post/respond at most times of the day
Flexible schedule
Competitive pay
Potential to grow into a full-time position
Autonomy
Working in a cutting-edge field
Working for a growing agency with great clients
